- Ungooroo’s NDIS Support Coordinators are here to help our mob to navigate and access supports within the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). A Support Coordinator will support you to understand and implement the funded supports in your plan and link you to community, mainstream and other government services where and when required.
- A Support Coordinator will focus on supporting you to build skills and direct your life as well as connect you to providers in the way that you want to be connected and supported. Your Support Coordinator will assist you to negotiate with providers about what they will offer you and how much it will cost out of your plan.
- Support coordinators will ensure service agreements and service bookings are completed. They will help build your ability to exercise choice and control, to coordinate supports and access your local community. Ungooroo specialises in ensuring that NDIS supports are culturally sensitive and relevant to the participant.We can also assist you in planning ahead to prepare for your plan review and helping you to optimise your plan ensuring that you are getting the most out of your funded supports.
Ungooroo Support Coordination
- Ungooroo NDIS Support Coordinators will work with participants and their family to:
- Explore the disability and mainstream support system
- Ensure that you are informed about all available options
- Identify providers and services that will best meet individual needs/goals and cultural expectations
- Assist participants or family members to coordinate and/or build on existing services
- Strengthen informal or mainstream supports
- Enhance your knowledge around familiarity with NDIS processes
- Build your confidence and capacity to implement and manage your NDIS plan
- Manage points of crisis should they arise
- Support participants through the NDIS review process
