I wanted to share some of the things we’re doing to ensure everyone who comes to Ungooroo or who works with us, is safe and can feel confident we’re doing what we can to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19).

See Tyson Demos’s hand-washing video above. There are also Seven Steps to Prevent the spread of COVID-19 and some tips on how to Stay Safe During COVID 19

Over the past couple of weeks we have taken a range of precautionary measures in our General Practice and office including:

additional phone triaging of unwell patients
new signage outside our clinics
commencing increased cleaning and sanitisation of our clinic and consult rooms
preparing our team to respond quickly to any emerging situation should it occur to best ensure the health and safety of everyone involved
asking patients, clients, and team members displaying cold or flu like symptoms to refrain from coming to Ungooroo
creating satellite Teams working off site to ensure continuity of business and programs
initiating Telehealth consultations for eligible patients per the new Medicare criteria
closure of the our Outreach Clinics in Schools, and in Muswellbrook until further notice.

Firstly, we are following the advice of the Australian Government and World Health Organisation, and implementing their recommendations for minimising the spread of this virus.

Over the coming weeks we will continue to monitor the situation closely and act quickly on the advice of health authorities. This may mean you see things that look a little different in our General Practice as we take additional precautions. We appreciate your patience and your support, as valued members of our community of patients, clients, and key stakeholders of Ungooroo.

I would also ask that if you are feeling unwell please take care of yourself and those around you. Should this be the case or if you prefer not to visit us in our clinic or unable to due to being unwell, please go online to our website and Facebook and Instagram pages to keep any updated information we will try and provide in a timely manner.

Stay safe everyone !
